Cyanotypes by British botanist and photographer Anna Atkins (1799–1871) accompany each entry. The images come from Photographs of British Algae: Cyanotype Impressions and appear with source credits.
Reading and listening together
Each recording contains the wisdom, attribution and companion text. One voice reads the wisdom and attribution; another reads the companion text. The player shows the matching image and full text, with an approximate paragraph guide.
Four languages, the same thought
Interface, texts and recordings are available in German, English, Italian and Norwegian Bokmål. Content is prepared editorially, partly with AI assistance. The app does not process your input through live AI services.
A personal project
Published by Stefan Grunert in Norway. Free, without an account, advertising, subscriptions or in-app purchases. The collection comes from the same API used by the website and Android app.
